Raymond R. Johnson named Chief Executive Officer of Infinite Power Solutions

Andcor Companies, the venture catalyst for Minnesota's most promising emerging companies, is pleased to announce that it has recently completed the search for the chief executive officer of Infinite Power Solutions (IPS). Raymond R. Johnson assumed this role on September 2, 2005.

IPS, located in the suburbs of Denver, Colorado, is a production company specializing in thin-film energy storage devices for microelectronic applications. The main product LiTE*STAR, is a thin-film rechargeable battery that is custom configured for various applications.

"We were seeking a CEO with specific technological expertise, a successful entrepreneurial track record, strong general management skills, and the ability to complete the initial fund-raising initiative, said Tom Hay, IPS' chairman of the board. "Andcor exceeded our expectations with the recommendation of Raymond Johnson. Raymond's background with Xilinx and RocketChips correlates exactly with our needs. We are very excited to put Mr. Johnson at the helm of the IPS."

Raymond was most recently the vice president and general manager of Xilinx's Communications Technology Division (CTD), where under his leadership CTD has helped catapult Xilinx from a virtual unknown in the high speed serial I/O solutions marketplace to an undisputed world leader. Raymond came to Xilinx as part of their strategic acquisition of RocketChips, Inc., a fables-semiconductor start-up that he co-founded and serviced as its President and CEO. Prior to launching RocketChips, Raymond held several senior executive positions with Honeywell, Alliant TechSystems, Decision Systems and Lemna International.
