Symmorphix appoints Ajit Rode to the position of Chief Executive Officer

Sunnyvale, CA – August 31, 2005

Symmorphix, Inc., a provider of process technology equipment that enables the production of next generation displays and electronics, and Andcor Companies, Inc., are pleased to announce the appointment of Ajit Rode, PhD to the position of chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors of Symmorphix.

Ajit has over 25 years of experience in semiconductor and capital equipment industries. Before joining Symmorphix, Ajit was President and CEO of Intevac, an equipment supplier to disk drive and display industries. He was a founding VP of TriQuint Semiconductor where he was responsible for their Foundry and ASIC division. He has held management positions at Tektronix where he was GM of Test & Measurement business unit, Novellus where he was GM of PECVD division and FSI International where he was Senior VP/GM of their Fremont operations. Ajit received his Doctorate in Electrical Engineering from Oregon State University and MBA from University of Portland.
