Challenge

In 1999, Stellent was an early-stage software company. To grow, the company needed leadership help in marketing and business development. To compound the difficulties in growing the company, the market was in the near the midst of the dot com bust of the late 90s.

Solution

Bob Olson, Stellent's CEO, knew that to grow the company they would need to add key leaders thus the company turned to Andcor to help in this process. Over the next several months, Andcor found and placed a great leader, Dan Ryan, with Stellent to run its marketing and business development efforts (Dan was later promoted to COO). In addition Andcor worked with Stellent over the next seven years to identify and place more than 10 key hires to help the company grow.

Result

The company grew from $14 million in sales 1999 when Dan Ryan was initially hired until 2007 when the company's revenues were in excess of $100 million and Oracle purchased Stellent for $440 million.
